HISTÓRIA DO PENSAMENTO BIOGEOGRÁFICO: do conhecimento pré-científico de Buffon à deriva continetal de Wegener

A Revista Acadêmica Online, com prazer, introduz o estudo intitulado “HISTÓRIA DO PENSAMENTO BIOGEOGRÁFICO: do conhecimento pré-científico de Buffon à deriva continetal de Wegener" de lavratura dos pesquisadores: José Carlos Rosa dos Reis, Fernando da Luz Moreno, Isabela Vieira Santos, Laís Naiara Gonçalves dos Reis, Marco Túlio Martins.

Este trabalho teve como objetivo apresentar a História do pensamento biogeográfico em relação ao problema da origem e dispersão da vida na Terra, analisando a influência do conhecimento pré-científico, desde Buffon até o período científico com a teoria da Deriva Continental de Wegener. O mais antigo pensamento biogeográfico da história, e que perdurou por muito tempo, foi o bíblico, mais precisamente exposto no livro de Gênesis. E é a partir dele, que setem a ideia de origem e dispersão de seres na Terra. No período pré-científico começou um esforço metodológico dos pensadores que buscavam evidências empíricas para o que estava descrito na Bíblia. No período científico, o pensamento de que o meio influenciava na diferenciação dos homens e espécie é a base para a construção da teoria evolucionista, que definem também algunsprincípios importantes em Biogeografia, como isolamento biogeográfico, variância das espécies e a seleção natural das espécies de Darwin. Na transiçãodo período pré-científico para o científico destacou-se Buffon que baseou muitas de suas pesquisas, inspiradas nos estudos de Joseph d’ Acosta. Buffon admitiu a ideia natureza em movimento contínuo, ou seja, ela vive uma seleção natural, influenciada pelo, clima, pela terra e até pelo tempo, consolidando sua obra “Épocas da natureza”. Após dois séculos de História do pensamento biogeográfico, o marco para a compreensão da dispersão da vida pela Terra é a ideia da deriva continental. Antes mesmo da consolidação da Teoria da Deriva Continental (moderna). Abraham Ortelius em 1596, depois o padre François Placet em 1668 e o Barão Von Hüpsch – Lonzen em 1764, defendeu a ideia de que havia um Supercontinente e depois se separou. De fato, foi Alfred Wegenerem 1926 quem conseguiu sistematizar cientificamente os prelúdios da deriva continental.

Abstract: 

This paper aims to present the history of biogeographic thinking in relation to the problem of origin and dispersion of life on Earth, analyzing the influence of preconscientific knowledge, from Buffon to the scientific period with Wegener's Continental Drift theory. The oldest biogeographic thought in history,which lasted for a long time, was the biblical one, more precisely stated in thebook of Genesis. And it is from this that one has the idea of origin and dispersionof beings on Earth. In the pre-scientific period began a methodological effort ofthinkers who sought empirical evidence for what was described in the Bible. Inthe scientific period, the thought that the environment influenced the differentiation of men and species is the basis for the construction of evolutionarytheory, which also define some important principles in Biogeography, such asbiogeographic isolation, species variance and the natural selection of species.Darwin In the transition fromthe pre-scientific to the scientific period, Buffon stoodout, who based much of his research, inspired by Joseph d 'Acosta's studies.Buffon admitted the idea of nature in continuous motion, that is,she lives a naturalselection, influenced by climate, land and even time, consolidating her work"Epochs of nature". After two centuries of history of biogeographic thought, theframework for understanding the dispersal of life on Earth is the idea of continental drift. Even before the consolidation of (modern) Continental DriftTheory. Abraham Ortelius in 1596, then Father François Placet in 1668 andBaron Von Hüpsch - Lonzen in 1764, defended the idea that there was a Supercontinent and then separated. In fact, it was Alfred Wegener in 1926 who managed to scientifically systematize the preludes of continental drift.
