A Revista Acadêmica Online, com prazer, introduz o estudo intitulado “PERFIL EPIDEMIOLÓGICO DAS HEPATITES B E C EM JOVENS DE UM MUNICÍPIO DA REGIÃO AMAZÔNICA, PARÁ, BRASIL NO PERÍODO DE 2010 A 2020" de lavratura dos pesquisadores: Wanderson Farias Silva, Flávia Garcez da Silva, Elaine Cristiny Evangelista dos Reis.
O estudo analisou os casos notificados de hepatites B e C no mnicípio de Santarém – Pará entre 2010 a 2020. Os dados foram coletados no Sistema de Informação de Agravos de Notificação Compulsória (SINAN), utilizando as variáveis: ano de diagnostico, local de notificação, sexo, faixa etária: 15 a 39 anos, etnia e escolaridade declarada. Foram notificados 1.353 casos de hepatites virais em Santarém, independente da faixa etária; sendo 892 (65,93%) casos de hepatites B e C. Destes, 284 (31,83%) possuem de 15 a 39 anos; sendo 122 (42,95%) homens e 162 (57,04) mulheres; 270 (95,07%) pardos e 102 (35,91%) com ensino médio completo. A análise dos casos apontou a maior incidência da hepatite do tipo B, com 230 casos (80,98%), seguindo a tendência nacional. Entretanto, 129 (56,08%) casos ocorreram no sexo feminino, divergindo da ocorrência brasileira que tem maior número de casos no sexo masculino.

ABSTRACT
The study analyzed the notified cases of hepatitis B and C in the city of Santarém - Pará between 20101 and 2020. Data were collected in the Information System for Compulsory Notifiable Diseases (SINAN), using the variables: year of diagnosis, place of notification, gender, age range: 15 to 39 years, ethnicity and declared education. 1,353 cases of viral hepatitis were reported in Santarém, regardless of age group; 892 (65.93%) were cases of hepatitis B and C. Of these, 284 (31.83%) were between 15 and 39 years old; being 122 (42.95%) men and 162 (57.04) women; 270 (95.07%) are brown and 102 (35.91%) have completed high school. The analysis of the cases showed the highest incidence of type B hepatitis, with 230 cases (80.98%), following the national trend. However, 129 (56.08%) cases occurred in females, diverging from the Brazilian occurrence, which has a higher number of cases in males.
